The number of German tourists traveling to Greece recorded a high increase in the first half of 2018.
According to provisional data released by the Bank of Greece, during the January-June 2018 period, the number of visitors from Germany increased by 38.9 percent to 1,456 thousand compared to the first six months of 2017.
Austria’s ski scene exudes an old-world charm, with trail and lift networks linking small Alpine villages surrounded by spectacular snow-covered peaks, which are close to German.
Italy, country vocations
Rome or other Italian touristic cities are still popular, but many German travelers prefer to go further into the heart of the country to enjoy the medieval cities of Tuscany, Umbria and Latium.
The region has always been a draw for domestic visitors, with its traditional culture, great landscape and landmarks like Neuschwanstein Castle and the Octoberfest, so it makes sense that Germans would like to spend time there too. A nice change of scenery without crossing the border.
France, fashion and gastronomy
