Formula 1 Grand Prix in Azerbaijan

When: April 26-28

Few days left till the most important and prestigious event in the world of auto racing!

The best racers of the world are eager to demonstrate their professionalism and compete for the championship on the real street route Baku City Circuit, located in the center of the capital of Azerbaijan. Its length is 6 km with 20 corners (8 right and 12 left).

Last year, Lewis Hamilton, who represents the Mercedes team, won on this route.

May Flower Festival

When: May 10

The festival of flowers, dedicated to the memory of the former President of the country – Heydar Aliyev, has been celebrated since 2004. This is one of the most amazing events that earned the attention both of locals and the world community.

A truly incredible variety of compositions from more than 100 tons of various flowers from Italy, Holland and other European countries has been collected here. Incredible sculptures, beautiful compositions and the very scale of the festival are really impressive!

UEFA Europa League Final 2018/2019

When: May 25

The decision on the venue was taken at a meeting of the executive committee of the organization in Nyon, Switzerland. The choice fell on the Olympic Stadium that can accommodate up to 70 000 spectators. The final will be the first game of this caliber that has been ever held in Azerbaijan. In addition, during Euro 2020, Baku will take three matches of the group stage and the quarterfinal.

The winner of the LE final would be entitled to play with the winner of the UEFA Champions League 2018/2019 for the UEFA Super Cup 2019, and would be also qualified for the UEFA Champions League 2019/2020 group stage.

Zhara festival

When: July 26-30

Ready for one of the biggest international music festivals?

Zhara is annually held on the coast of the Caspian Sea at Sea Breeze Resort, gathering the most eminent artists of the post-Soviet space on the same stage. For 4 days, the festival will feature the hits Ruki Vverh, A’Studio, Polina Gagarina, Victoria Daineko, Jah Khalib, artists of Black Star label, Philipp Kirkorov, Vladimir Presnyakov, Natalia Podolskaya, LOBODA, Sergey Lazarev, Alexander Panayotov and others.
